Pear, European:<\/strong>
\nAyers – <\/strong>from Kansas in late 1800s, low-chill, large, exceptionally sweet fruit, fire blight resistant. (not available 2026)<\/p>\n

Comice – <\/strong>Large, high-quality pear, moderate blight resistance.
\nComptessa – <\/strong>from Denmark, heavy bearer, medium size, yellow, very sweet, very high quality fruit.
\nGem <\/strong>– from Dr. Richard Bell, medium to large yellow fruit with red blush, long-storing, fire blight resistant, promising new variety for commercial production.
\nHarrow Crisp – <\/strong>from Canada, cold hardy, medium-sized fruit, fire blight resistant. (not available 2026)
\nHoneysweet – <\/strong>Seckel seedling with similar flavor, but larger size, good blight resistance.
\nHarovin Sundown<\/strong> – (AKA Kanata or HW614 or Cold Snap) From Canada, cold hardy, late ripening and fire blight resistant.

\nLincoln – <\/strong>Heritage pear with large size, somewhat odd shape, banana-like flavor, blight resistant.
\nLucious – <\/strong>Extra cold hardy, small-medium sized fruit with excellent flavor, won\u2019t pollinize other pears.
\nMaxine – <\/strong>Large fruit, good flavor, blight resistant
\nMagness – <\/strong>Seedling of Seckel with similar flavor, but large sized, very blight resistant.
\nStacyville – <\/strong>very old variety from Maine, the original tree, still living and bearing, is estimated to be 250-300 years old, super cold-hardy, heavy bearing of medium-sized fruit. (not available 2026)
