We allow people interested in harvesting for seed to come to our farm to harvest. Maps\u00a0 will be provided. You are allowed to gather fruit from any tree.\u00a0 \u00a0Call 319-729-5905 or email kathy@redfernfarm.com to schedule a harvest date. We do allow primitive camping in our groves to facilitate multiple days of harvest when you make purchases totaling $50\/day or more.<\/p>\n
We will also have pawpaw seed to sell from our website this year. There are 310 to 350 seeds\/pound or around 18 to 22\/ounce. All seeds were taken from fruit harvested on our farm September and October. We take fruit from grafted trees and outstanding seedlings. Our genetics for pawpaws are excellent.<\/p>\n
The seed were kept moist and cool after being separated from the ripe fruit. This seed was in excellent condition when we mailed it. We have no control over the postal service or your care. We do NOT guarantee these seeds.\u00a0 Please read the pawpaw seed care<\/a> page to see how we successfully germinated this seed for our tree nursery.\u00a0 Because of quarantines and\/or distance we do not ship to the states of\u00a0 Hawaii, Florida, California, Alaska, Oregon and Washington. Shipping is by USPS. We charge 17% of your total with a minimum of $5\/seed order.<\/p>\n Shensus<\/strong> – Seeds are collected from an area where Shenandoah and Susquehanna are planted alternately, and other cultivars are more than 20 feet away. This cross has created many of our “super stars” such as Asterion, Canopus, Betria and many more.<\/p>\n
